Poplar
Hill estate is located just west of St. Helena, on the southern
slope of Spring Mountain overlooking California’s
Napa Valley. The valley, with a well-established reputation
for its world-class wines, is now becoming known for the exceptional
extra virgin olive oils it produces. The Mediterranean climate
enjoyed by the region blesses wine and olive oil equally and
these foods have become accepted as an integral part of the
heart healthy Mediterranean diet.
Poplar
Hill Olive Oil Co. is a small family operation run by
William and Rachel Casey. The “Lucca” olive
grown on the estate is a Tuscan cultivar prized for its
exceptional flavor qualities.
Poplar Hill Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded a
silver medal in 2002 and gold medals in 2003 and 2004
at the prestigious
International Olive Oil Competition held in May of each
year in Los Angeles.
